Passenger Plane Skids off Runway and Gets Stuck on Cliff Edge in Turkey
Chaos erupted on a passenger jet today when a Pegasus Airlines Boeing 737-800 skidded off the runway in Trabzon, Turkey and plunged down the side of a cliff overlooking the Black Sea.
The Boeing 737-800 with 168 passengers and crew had flown from Ankara and landed atTrabzon on the Black Sea coast late Saturday.
Surprisingly, everyone on board the aircraft evacuated safely with no injuries. Officials are investigating the accident and wondering how the hell they will get the aircraft off the side of the cliff.

“We tilted to the side. The front was down while the plane’s rear was up. There was panic, people shouting, screaming,” passenger Fatma Gordu was quoted as saying.
The airport was closed for several hours after the incident.
Footage posted on social media showed at least one of the aircraft’s windows had been smashed and another clip appeared to show one of the plane’s engines in the water.
