As an instructor, I should have hundreds of claims but I cant sue myself. At least the students are all still alive.

So she has a problem with the only reason human crews are still around. A machine can fly an aircraft as good as or better than a human when everything is working. It's when the fans stop turning we need professionals up front that can bring the aircraft back in one piece. If you aren't up to that task you should probably learn to code.

This is what happens when you do the bare minimum to get to the airlines while having been congratulated for every pedestrian accomplishment along the way. You can always tell who has suffered for aviation and who hasn’t. Who has sacrificed for aviation and who hasn’t. Who got into aviation for the ego trip and who hasn’t. Their eyes always look soft. Just imagine her as a captain.

Her hat gave me PTSD.

Shit, I should have about 8 PTSD claims then... if you can't handle this tiny occurrence then this career is not for you. The memes/jokes here are glorious and would probably get us all fired - so lets just think about them silently.

That this was a woman is irrelevant to the story of a pilot suing for PTSD. I’m assuming she never was a CFI for primary students. THAT would cause PTSD....

US Regional Airline training departments cause more stress and anxiety than they’re worth. Truthfully don’t understand why they’re all sooooo poorly run.

I mean my Crew Scheduling ringtone gives me PTSD but I’m not complaining. No seriously, Emergencies are our bread and butter. That’s what we get paid to deal with.

My mentor sums it up beautifully: "True temperament is measured under stress."

Honestly, if she can’t handle a engine failure or resolve a dire situation. She shouldn’t become a pilot. In certain circumstances, such as aircraft limitations can cause aircraft malfunction during flight. That’s the pilot job to resolve issues when that occurs , their trained for it purposely. So she shouldn’t sue the airline. I feel bad that she has PTSD. I hope she get the appropriate treatment.

Truth. I know of no pilot that has had a completely uneventful career. Part of the job. Goes with the territory. Not willing to be deal with the occasionally abnormal situation, then flying is not for you.🤣

If her job is so traumatizing she can join the navy and land helicopters on moving ships with me, that will straighten her right out.

Lost my medical from anxiety after watching my wife waste away to cancer.

I mean I’ve shut down 3 engines in flight (not on the same flight 😆), so according to her calculations, it’s worth 2.3 million for me. ....🤔. I think I’m going to give Saab a call. 🤑

They reviewed the forms. The aircraft was 'good enough' for them to take it. They took off and broke a perfectly good airplane. If she wins, Quantaslink should charge her for the repair costs.... Did she just admit that she lacks the mental ability to deal with the aerospace environment? In the Air Force, admitting you are afraid of heights is enough to disqualify you.
